次の英文を日本語になおせ。
When an abandoned ship is located it may have drifted before the wind faster then survival craft. In such a case concentration of search upwind is recommended. However, low-lying, half-sunken loaded ship may drift more slowly then a floating survival craft, even if a drogue is used. A derelict may drift at a considerable angle off the prevailing wind direction.
When wreckage is located it usually consists of debris and/or an oil slick. Should this have come from the distressed ship, survival craft will usually be found down wind from the debris. In some cases, however, the ship may have been abandoned some time before sinking, in which case survival craft may be upwind. Both possibilities should be considered.
